The Registrar maintains birth and death records that occur within the Village of Kenmore.  Burials also have to be approved by the Registrar.

Certified copies of these records can be obtained through the Clerk/Treasurer’s Office.  Please note that these records are not available to everyone.  These records are only released to the individual or his/her family members.  There is a cost of $10.00 for each copy requested.

Please note that Kenmore Mercy Hospital is located in the Town of Tonawanda, and not the Village of Kenmore.  If you are seeking a birth certificate for someone born at Kenmore Mercy or who passed away there, you will need to contact the Town of Tonawanda at (716) 877-8800.

  • BIRTH RECORDS
Please note that Kenmore Mercy Hospital is located in the Town of Tonawanda, and not the Village of Kenmore. If you are seeking a birth certificate for someone born at Kenmore Mercy or who passed away there, you will need to contact the Town of Tonawanda Clerk’s Office at (716) 877-8800. The Village of Kenmore Registrar only maintains records for births which take place within the boundaries of the Village.
  • DEATH RECORDS
We maintain records for any death that occurs within the Village of Kenmore. Generally, the Funeral Director will obtain the Death Certificate for you, but additional certified copies can be obtained directly from the next of kin.
  • HUNTING LICENSE
This license is obtained through the Town of Tonawanda Clerk’s Office.
  • MARRIAGE LICENSE
This office does not issue Marriage licenses. Applications may be obtained through the Town of Tonawanda Clerk’s Office (716) 877-8800. Please note that Marriage licenses are valid for sixty (60) days, beginning 24 hours after the license is issued. Your marriage must be solemnized during this time frame. If you’re looking for a copy of your Marriage License, you will need to contact the City or Town Clerk where you got your license, not where you were married. For example, if you got your license in the City of Buffalo, but were married in Kenmore, your license will be in the City of Buffalo.
