EXECUTIVE SESSION TO DISCUSS, ONE FINANCIAL, THREE  PERSONNEL AND THREE LITIGATION.                                

Trustee McCarthy moved to go into Executive Session to discuss one financial, three personnel and three litigation matters.
Seconded by Trustee Bestine and adopted by a full vote in the affirmative.

Trustee McCarthy moved to end the Executive Session.
Seconded by Trustee Catalano and adopted by a full vote of all members present.

The meeting was called to order at 8:00 p.m. by Mayor Mang. Mayor Mang led the Pledge of Allegiance.

BOARD APPROVED THE RE-APPOINTMENT OF NOREEN FLYNN AS AN ALTERNATE MEMBER TO THE KENMORE PLANNING BOARD.                                        

Trustee Bestine moved to approve the the re-appointment of Noreen Flynn as an alternate member to the Kenmore Planning Board, with a term to expire in June 2011.
Seconded by Trustee Muscarella and adopted by a full vote in the affirmative.


BOARD APPROVED THE ISSUANCE OF A MASTER PLUMBER’S LICENSE TO JOSEPH SARDO.                                                                

Trustee McCarthy moved to approve the issuance of a Master Plumber’s license to Joseph Sardo of 361 Harrison Avenue, Buffalo, New York 14223.
Seconded by Trustee Catalano and adopted by a full vote in the affirmative.


BOARD APPROVED AND GRANTED PERMISSION TO ONE LEIUTENANT AND THREE DETECTIVES TO ATTEND A SEMINAR.                

Trustee Bestine moved to approve and grant permission to Detectives Paul O’Brien and David Lewandowski to attend a seminar entitled “Cyber Investigations” on August 23-24, 2010 at the Erie County Public Safety Building.  Leiutenant Charles Gramaglia and Detective Joseph Vacanti will attend on August 25-26, 2010, with expenses.
Seconded by Trustee Catalano and adopted by a full vote in the affirmative.


BOARD APPROVED AND GRANTED PERMISSION TO THE RESIDENTS OF EAST HAZELTINE AVENUE TO HOLD A BLOCK PARTY.                

Trustee Muscarella moved to approve and grant permission to the residents of East Hazeltine Avenue between Delaware Avenue and Myron Avenue to hold a block party on Saturday, September 4, 2010, at the request of Marijane Cotroneo.
Seconded by Trustee Bestine and adopted by a full vote in the affirmative.


BOARD APPROVED AND GRANTED PERMISSION TO THE RESIDENTS OF EAST HAZELTINE AVENUE TO HOLD A BLOCK PARTY.                

Trustee McCarthy moved to approve and grant permission to the residents of East Hazeltine Avenue between Rowley Avenue and Colvin Boulevard to hold a block party on Saturday, August 21, 2010, with a rain date of Saturday, August 28, 2010, at the request of
Jim Nixon.
Seconded by Trustee Catalano and adopted by a full vote in the affirmative.


BOARD APPROVED AND GRANTED PERMISSION TO THE RESIDENTS OF COLUMBIA BOULEVARD TO HOLD A BLOCK PARTY.                

Trustee Bestine moved to approve and grant permission to the residents of Columbia Boulevard to hold a block party on Saturday, August 21, 2010, at the request of Anne M. Denman.
Seconded by Trustee Catalano and adopted by a full vote in the affirmative.


BOARD APPROVED A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING FUND TRANSFERS.    

Trustee Muscarella moved to approve a resolution authorizing various end-of-year fund transfers from 2009-2010 fiscal year budget, a copy of which is appended to these minutes for record purposes.
Seconded by Trustee Bestine and adopted by a full vote in the affirmative.


BOARD APPROVED THE PUBLICATION OF A LEGAL NOTICE CALLING FOR A PUBLIC HEARING REGARDING LOCAL LAWS PERTAINING TO EARLY RETIREMENT INCENTIVE PROGRAM.                    

Trustee Catalano moved to approve the publication of a legal notice calling for a public hearing on August 17, 2010 at 8:00 p.m., regarding Local Laws pertaining to “the New York State Early Retirement Incentive Program”, a copy of which is appended to these minutes for record purposes.
Seconded by Trustee McCarthy and adopted by a full vote in the affirmative.


ABSTRACT OF AUDITED VOUCHERS.                        
Trustee Bestine offered the following resolution and moved its adoption:

RESOLVED, that the Mayor be and he hereby is authorized to sign the Abstract of Audited Vouchers dated August 3, 2010, in the amount of $458,556.19; General Fund $352,642.07; Water Fund $85,955.00; Sewer Fund $12,959.12 and to direct the Treasurer to pay each of the listed claimants in the amount appearing opposite his/her name.
Seconded by Trustee Muscarella and adopted by a full vote in the affirmative.

Mayor Mang asked if any one wished to be heard.
As no one wished to be heard, the meeting was adjourned.
The next meeting of the Board of Trustees will be August 17, 2010 at 8:00 p.m. at the Municipal Building.
