EXECUTIVE SESSION TO DISCUSS ONE FINANCIAL AND ONE PERSONNAL MATTER.                                    

Trustee Muscarella moved to go into Executive Session to discuss one financial and one personnel matter.
Seconded by Trustee McCarthy and adopted by a full vote in the affirmative.

Trustee McCarthy moved to end the Executive Session.
Seconded by Trustee Catalano and adopted by a full vote of all members present.

The meeting was called to order at 8:00 p.m. by Mayor Mang. The Mayor led the Pledge of Allegiance.


BOARD APPROVED A COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE VILLAGE OF KENMORE AND KENMORE CROSSING GUARD ASSOCIATION EFFECTIVE JUNE 1, 2010-MAY 31, 2014.            

Trustee McCarthy moved to approve the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the Village of Kenmore and the Kenmore Crossing Guard Association for the period June 1, 2010-May 31, 2014.
Seconded by Trustee Catalano and adopted by a full vote in the affirmative.
Mayor Mang thanked Trustees Catalano and McCarthy for sitting in on the Negotiation Committee and for their hard work in negotiating all five Union collective bargaining agreements.


BOARD APPROVED KEVIN CONTI AS AN ACTIVE NEW MEMBER OF THE KENMORE VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT.            

Trustee Bestine moved to approve the appointment of Kevin Conti of 364 Washington Avenue as a new active member of the Kenmore Volunteer Fire Department, effective September 21, 2011.
Seconded by Trustee McCarthy and adopted by a full vote in the affirmative.


BOARD APPROVED AND GRANTED PERMISSION TO CALVARY FULL GOSPEL CHURCH TO PUT BARRICADES UP ON OCTOBER 31, 2011        

Trustee Muscarella moved to approve and grant permission to Calvary Full Gospel Church to put barricades up on Grammarcy between West Girard Boulevard and Somerton Avenue on Monday, October 31, 2011 from 4:00 through 9:00 p.m. for a Light the Night Festival at the request of Pastor Daniel Zgrablich.
Seconded by Trustee Bestine and adopted by a full vote in the affirmative.


BOARD APPROVED THE RE-APPOINTMENT OF NOREEN FLYNN AS AN ALTERNATE MEMBER OF THE KENMORE PLANNING BOARD.        

Trustee Bestine moved to approve the re-appointment of Noreen Flynn as an alternate member of the Kenmore Planning Board for a one year term to expire June 2012.
Seconded by Trustee Catalano and adopted by a full vote in the affirmative.


BOARD APPROVED THE RE-APPOINTMENT OF MICHAEL FOSTER AS AN ALTERNATE MEMBER OF THE KENMORE PLANNING BOARD.        

Trustee McCarthy moved to approve the re-appointment of Michael Foster as an alternate member of the Kenmore Planning Board for a one year term to expire June 2012.
Seconded by Trustee Catalano and adopted by a full vote in the affirmative.


BOARD APPROVED AND GRANTED PERMISSION TO DETECTIVE DAVID LEWANDOWSKI TO ATTEND A SEMINAR.                        

Board approved and granted permission to Detective David Lewandowski to attend a seminar entitled “Social Networking” at the Niagara Falls Conference Center, on October 13 & 14, 2011, with expenses.
Seconded by Trustee Muscarella and adopted by a full vote in the affirmative.


BOARD APPROVED AND GRANTED PERMISSION TO THE KENMORE POLICE DPARTMENT TO BAG THE PARKING METERS BEGINNING ON FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 25, 2011.                                

Trustee Muscarella moved to grant and approve permission to the Kenmore Merchants Association to have the Kenmore Police bag the parking meters on Delaware Avenue starting on Friday, November 25, 2011 and for the first two weeks in December to promote shopping in the Village of Kenmore at the request of the Kenmore Merchants Association.
Seconded by Trustee McCarthy and adopted by a full vote in the affirmative.  


ABSTRACT OF AUDITED VOUCHERS.                        

Trustee McCarthy offered the following resolution and moved its adoption:

RESOLVED, that the Mayor be and he hereby is authorized to sign the Abstract of Audited Vouchers dated October 4, 2011, in the amount of $363,983.63; General Fund $318,702.16; Community Development Fund $34,784.00; Water Fund $4,713.26; Sewer Fund $5,784.21 and to direct the Treasurer to pay each of the listed claimants in the amount appearing opposite his/her name.
Seconded by Trustee Catalano and adopted by a full vote in the affirmative.

Mayor Mang asked if anyone wished to be heard.
As no one wished to be heard, the meeting was adjourned.
The next meeting of the Board of Trustees will be October 18, 2011 at 8:00 p.m. at the Municipal Building.
