EXECUTIVE SESSION TO DISCUSS TWO FINANCIAL, ONE CONTRACTUAL AND ONE PERSONNEL MATTER.
Trustee McCarthy moved to go into Executive Session to discuss two financial, one contractual and one personnel matter.
Seconded by Trustee Muscarella and adopted by a full vote in the affirmative.
Trustee Bestine moved to end the Executive Session.
Seconded by Trustee Catalano and adopted by a full vote in the affirmative.

The meeting was called to order at 8:00 p.m. by Mayor Mang. Mayor Mang led the Pledge of Allegiance.
BOARD APPROVED A COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE VILLAGE OF KENMORE AND THE KENMORE PROFESSIONAL FIREFIGHTERS ASSOCIATION.
Trustee McCarthy moved to approve a Collective Bargaining Agreement between the Village of Kenmore and the Kenmore Professional Firefighters Association for
June 1, 2007 through May 31, 2010.
Seconded by Trustee Bestine and adopted by a full vote in the affirmative.
BOARD APPROVED THE RE-APPOINTMENT OF JENNIFER BUTKOWSKI AS AN ALTERNATE MEMBER FOR THE KENMORE PLANNING BOARD.
Trustee Bestine moved to approve the re-appointment of Jennifer Butkowski as an alternate member of the Kenmore Planning Board for a one year term.
Seconded by Trustee Catalano and adopted by a full vote in the affirmative.

BOARD APPROVED AND GRANTED PERMISSION TO POLICE DETECTIVES JOSEPH VACANTI AND PAUL O’BRIEN TO ATTEND A TRAINING SEMINAR ENTITLED “CONTROL PHONE CALLS IN CHILD ABUSE INVESTIGATIONS”.
Trustee Muscarella moved to approve and grant permission to Police Detectives Joseph Vacanti and Paul O’Brien to attend a training seminar entitled “Control Phone Calls in Child Abuse Investigations” on May 15, 2008 in Orchard Park, New York, with expenses.
Seconded by Trustee Bestine and adopted by a full vote in the affirmative.
BOARD APPROVED AND GRANTED PERMISSION TO LIEUTENANT CHARLES GRAMAGLIA TO ATTEND A SEMINAR ENTITLED “DNA EVIDENCE RECOGNITION, COLLECTION AND PRESERVATION FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT”.
Trustee Catalano moved to approve and grant permission to Lieutenant Charles Gramaglia to attend a seminar entitled “DNA Evidence Recognition, Collection and Preservation for Law Enforcement” on May 28, 2008 at the Central Police Services Training Academy, with expenses.
Seconded by Trustee McCarthy and adopted by a vote in the affirmative.
BOARD APPROVED AND GRANTED PERMISSION TO POLICE OFFICER DAVID LEWANDOWSKI TO ATTEND A LICENSE PLATE READER TRAINING CONFERENCE.
Trustee Muscarella moved to approve and grant permission to Police Officer David Lewandowski to attend a License Plate Reader Training Conference on
June 19-20, 2008 in Lake George, New York, with expenses.
Seconded by Trustee Bestine and adopted by a full vote in the affirmative.

BOARD TO APPROVE AND GRANT PERMISSION TO THE RESIDENTS OF EAST GIRARD BOULEVARD TO HOLD THEIR ANNUAL PLANTING DAY SATURDAY, MAY 17, 2008 WITH A RAIN DATE OF SUNDAY MAY 18, 2009.
Trustee Bestine moved to approve and grant permission to the residents of East Girard Boulevard to hold their annual Spring Planting Day on Saturday, May 17, 2008, with a rain date of Sunday, May 18, 2008.
Seconded by Trustee McCarthy and adopted by a full vote in the affirmative.
BARD TO APPROVE AND GRANT PERMISSION TO THE RESIDENTS OF COLUMBIA BOULEVARD TO HOLD THEIR ANNUAL PLANTING DAY SATURDAY, MAY 17, 2008 WITH A RAIN DATE OF SUNDAY MAY 18, 2008.
Trustee Muscarella moved to approve and grant permission to the residents of Columbia Boulevard to hold their annual Spring Planting Day on Saturday, May 17, 2008, with a rain date of Sunday, May 18, 2008.
Seconded by Trustee Catalano and adopted by a full vote in the affirmative
BOARD APPROVED AND GRANTED PERMISSION TO THE RESIDENTS OF EAST GIRARD BOULEVARD TO HOLD A BLOCK PARTY.
Trustee Catalano moved to approve and grant permission to the residents of East Girard Boulevard, between Delaware Avenue and Delaware Road, to hold their annual Block Party on Saturday, August 16, 2008, with a rain date of Sunday, August 17, 2008 at the request of Jeffrey Sikorski.
Seconded by Trustee McCarthy and adopted by a full vote in the affirmative.

BOARD APPROVED AND GRANTED PERMISSION TO DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS SUPERINTENDENT JOHN NEISS TO ATTEND THE 2008 HIGHWAY SCHOOL.
Trustee McCarthy moved to approve and grant permission to Department of Public Works Superintendent John Neiss to attend the 2008 Highway School on June 2-4, 2008 in Ithaca, New York, with expenses.
Seconded by Trustee Muscarella and adopted by a full vote in the affirmative.
BOARD CALLED FOR PUBLICATION OF A LEGAL NOTICE PERTAINING TO LOCAL LAW #4 OF 2008 ENTITLED “AMENDING LEGISLATION GOVERNING THE PLANNING BOARD”.
Trustee Muscarella moved to approve the publication of a legal notice for hearing on June 3, 2008 pertaining to Local Law #4 of 2008 entitled “Amending Legislation Governing the Planning Board”.
Seconded by Trustee Catalano and adopted by a full vote in the affirmative.
ABSTRACT OF AUDITED VOUCHERS.
Trustee Bestine offered the following resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLVED, that the Mayor be and he hereby is authorized to sign the Abstract of Audited Vouchers dated May 6, 2008, in the amount of $521,891.24; General Fund $406,082.32; Community Development $250.00; Water Fund $54,084.75; Sewer Fund $12,375.48; Capital Fund $49,098.69 and to direct the Treasurer to pay each of the listed claimants in the amount appearing opposite his/her name.
Seconded by Trustee McCarthy and adopted by a full vote in the affirmative.
