THE DPW WILL NO LONGER COLLECT ELECTRONIC WASTE EFFECTIVE June 1, 2015
Due to recent changes in New York State Law concerning e-waste,
the Village of Kenmore will no longer be picking up electronic waste,
beginning June 1, 2015. Electronic or e-waste refers to items such as
computers, laptops and televisions.
Residents can dispose of these items at County-sponsored collection sites
or at the store where the item was purchased.
Beginning June 1st, any electronics left at the curb will be tagged with
notification that the Village will not be picking up this item.
Information will also be given as to how to dispose of e-waste.
Please note that if the item remains at the curb, it will be subject to the
Village’s Garbage and Refuse laws, including fines for non-compliance.
9/2016 - Advanced Technology Recycling will accept many Electronic devices free of charge.
